The last four teams to make it into the Rocball’s semi-finals for the best of two out three games are the Pound Stars, Fearless, Teachers, and Superlicious.Pound Stars are playing Superlicious and Fearless is playing the Teachers. In their first games, in the first game of the semi-finals, team Superlicious won the fourth set of the first game trailing in game points 37 to 14. But, in Rocball rules of play for the quarter/set system, a team cannot win a game in a losing set. SO, even though the Pound Stars had a 24 point lead going into the fourth set, they couldn’t prove they had the “skill for the kill”; Superlicious won the fourth set 14 to 8.
In Rocball’s quarter/set system of play a team has to outscore their opponents in game points and win the fourth set. A team cannot win a game in a losing set. Because Superlicious won the fourth set with the lowest score and needed to win two overtime sets to win the game. The Pound Stars only needed to win one over time set because they had scored the most game points but lost the fourth set. The Pound Stars won the game in the first overtime set.
In the game between the Teachers and Fearless, the Teachers lost the first set but won sets two, three, and four with the most games points and juiced-out for the win. In this game there were 8 aces, 1 kee, and 1 goal multiple points scored. Mr. Gregory Elliot of the Teacher’s team was the heavy hitter with 3 aces. James Kaipat of team Fearless was his team’s heavy hitter with 1 ace and 1 goal.
In the play-off game between the Pound Stars and Superlicious, Jerrod Rosario of the Pound Stars was the games heavy hitter with 1 ace, 1 xunk, and 1 goal. Jim Lacina was the Superlicious team’s heavy hitter with 1 ace and 2 kees.

This Sunday Olabeaga Ace played against Bizkaitarrak. Olabeaga won the match, 21-13 in a single set. They started playing the second set but the ball fell into the river and we had to cancel the game. The next day we will take more balls.

The 18 of december the first Basque Tournament of Rocball was held in Bilbao, Basque Country (Spain). There three teams participated: Bilbao Rocball, Olabeaga Ace and Bizkaitarra. Olabeaga Ace won with two wins. The basque players enjoyed a lot and they would meet every two months to play 2-3 matches, all matches for the ranking-
